Collection Of Information
Milestone School Photography (hereinafter known as “Milestone”) does not collect personally identifiable information about you except when you voluntarily provide it. When you provide your personal contact information every effort will be made to ensure that the information provided will be securely maintained. Since data transmission over the Internet cannot be guaranteed to be 100% secure, communication over the internet is at your own risk. However, once your information is received, every effort will be made to ensure its security on the Milestone systems, and on the Milestone premises. See SECURITY below.
Sharing Of Information
Milestone will not sell or trade your personally identifiable information to unaffiliated third parties, except successors in interest, without your consent. We reserve the right to contact you regarding your account status and on any other matter that might affect service to you and/or our records on you. Milestone may disclose your information in special cases when there is reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) Milestone’s rights or property, other Milestone web site users, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities. Milestone will disclose user information when it is felt in good faith that the law requires it.
Use Of Information
In order to measure interest in and use of the various areas of the web sites, Milestone reserves the right to perform statistical analyses of Milestone web site usage and characteristics.
Opting Out
Upon request, Milestone will allow any user to opt out of further promotional contacts at any time. Additionally, upon request, Milestone will allow users to update or correct personal information previously submitted which you may say is erroneous, to the extent that changing the data will not compromise privacy or security interests. Also, Milestone will use commercially reasonable efforts to functionally delete your personal information from our database, upon your request. However, it may be impossible to delete all of the information because of backups and records of deletions. It is your responsibility to make certain that Milestone has your most current e-mail address. Should you wish to opt out of any mailing from Milestone please contact us.
Security
Milestone strives to unobtrusively collect limited data to make your Internet and/or product use as efficient and satisfying as possible. All credit card payment data is securely protected by encryption services against access by unauthorized parties. You should protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer by making sure that you completely logoff when you are finished with a transaction, especially when using a shared computer. Our employees are obliged to respect the confidentiality of our customers’ personal information. We ensure that your personal information will not be disclosed to governments, government institutions or authorities except as required by law. If you use the Milestone web site then you may have one or more cookies placed on your system. These are used for the purpose of simplifying data exchange and may be deleted from your system after your web site visit.
